This role involves analyzing performance data, facilitating coaching sessions, and promoting behavioral and skill-based improvement to help achieve business goals. Ultimately, the Performance Coach's role is to unlock the full potential of employees, leading to enhanced productivity, employee engagement, and organizational growth.
What you will do as a Performance Coach
- Show up for assigned shifts and follow scheduled lunches and breaks.
- Coach team members daily on performance improvement opportunities identified through metrics, observations, or feedback.
- Perform daily “side-by-sides” or real-time monitoring and record interaction assessments to ensure team members meet performance and behavioral standards:
- Accuracy – Ensure tasks are completed correctly and in accordance with company processes
- Engagement – Foster professional, positive interactions internally and externally
- Efficiency – Promote timely, quality output with minimal friction or repeated effort.
- Attend team meetings and present updates or findings in Performance Coach and Deep Dive Meetings.
- Review and coach underperformance trends through outlier or flagged data reports.
- Conduct weekly coaching sessions with individuals or teams based on performance needs.
- Evaluate employees’ performance trends, work habits, and behavioral competencies.
- Provide one-on-one or group development sessions focused on soft skills, time management, mindset, or role-specific skills.
- Delivering ongoing coaching through real-time feedback, role-playing, and scenario-based training.
- Assist in setting performance goals, tracking progress, and following through with accountability check-ins.
- Collaborate with Operations and other departments to align coaching objectives, share performance updates, and contribute to training initiatives.
- Help foster a growth mindset, personal accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement.
What We're Looking For
- Must have completed at least some college-level education.
- Possess 2–3 years of experience in a sales leadership or retention coaching role, or a related field.
- Proven background in customer service, outbound sales, with a strong emphasis on hard selling techniques.
- Demonstrates excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Willing to work onsite at the designated location.
- Flexible with work hours, including graveyard shifts and split rest days as required.
