In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring a smooth, timely, and accurate flow of permit submissions, while also supporting related steps in the permitting process, such as documentation, follow-ups, and compliance checks. Success in this position means achieving established program Key Performance Indicators and working closely with Program Team Leads to deliver efficient, high-quality results. You will coordinate and submit permit applications across multiple jurisdictions, track and manage permit statuses to ensure deadlines are met, communicate with internal teams and external stakeholders—including city departments and inspectors—and ensure all documentation meets required standards and compliance guidelines.

What you will do as a Permit Coordinator
- Manage Permit and Application Processes:
Independently review, prepare, and submit permit application packages in compliance with all jurisdictional requirements. Provide end-to-end support through the entire lifecycle, including interconnection and rebate applications as required by leadership. - Cross-Functional Coordination and Communication:
Coordinate payment processing and collaborate with internal teams to address jurisdictional feedback, facilitate revisions, and ensure corrections are accurately recorded. Update internal databases to support operational efficiency and process improvements. - Ensure Submission Quality and Compliance:
Maintain a high standard of quality and accuracy in all submissions by staying current on solar permitting protocols and AHJ (Authority Having Jurisdiction) regulations, leading to improved approval rates and reduced rework. - Schedule Adherence and Time Management:
Follow the assigned project schedules and deadlines as outlined by leadership, demonstrating strong time management and prioritization skills. - Professional Communication and Conduct:
Maintain a high level of professionalism, responsiveness, and clarity in both in-person and online communications, contributing to a collaborative and respectful team culture. - Engaged Team Participation:
Actively contribute to weekly one-on-ones and team huddles, asking thoughtful questions, offering insights, and staying fully engaged in ongoing discussions and initiatives.
- College-level education required; a background in Engineering or Architecture is highly recommended.
- Experience in the solar industry is a strong advantage; prior TSR (Technical Representative) experience is a plus.
- Ideal candidates will have profiles similar to TSRs from blended accounts, demonstrating adaptability, technical understanding, and customer support experience.
- Strong English communication skills—both written and verbal—are essential for effective coordination and client interaction.
